Pawley's Island, SC, Sea Shell Platter/Stoneware
These shells were created from real shells I found along the Pawley’s Island coast, in SC. Some of them were bought in stores in Pawley’s, but are indigenous to the area. I created molds from each real shell and added a few of my imaginary shells too! This is one of my favorite glazes. If you look closely, you can see the original “Pawley’s Island” shells, located on the upper left side of the platter, said to only come from this area. Size: 11” by 14 1/2” approx.
